Recruit Republican PCPs for Linn CountyDo you know any other fellow Republicans that would make good PCPs for Linn County? Let them know they can file to get their name on the ballot between February 1st - March 6th, 2012. The Primary Election is May 15th. We are going to need an army to help good candidates get elected in 2012! Please recruit as many people as you can to join in the effort. The correct Form SEL 105 has finally been posted on the Sec. of State website. Print it out and take it down to the courthouse or mail it to: Linn County ClerkIf you mail it, call the elections office (541-967-3831) first to confirm which precinct you will be in. Some changes will be made, due to redistricting. The final precinct calculations will be made January 31st at midnight. PCP WorkshopDo you want to learn how to be more effective in your position as Precinct Committee Person? A workshop is being offered to all PCPs in conjuction with the State Central Committee meeting. See the linked flyer for details. Register as soon as possible, because only 35 people per session are permitted to attend. We're getting ready for the next Oregon legislative cycleThe next Oregon legislative cycle is close at hand. For our state to get on the right track and to hold legislators accountable, we're going to need a lot of help! Here are the details: WHO:You and all conservative activists, who are willing to participate as a part of a team of citizen lobbyist from all around the state. This is the next step in the War Room effort we started during the 2011 Legislative session. You don't need to live close to Salem to participate. As long as you have a computer and an internet connection, you can do most of this work from the comfort of your home. WHAT: We need folks who are willing to review, summarize and track bills through the 2012 legislative session. Teams will be formed to review bills in the following categories:
TRAINING: Training will be provided the evening of Tuesday, November 29th for all those who sign-up. We will provide you with the skills on how to find and access bills and legislative hearings on the internet, as well as h ow to read and understand a bill, how to comment and testify on bills, and how to communicate with a legislator. We have been discussing the importance of this election for many months now at our monthly meetings. Linn County GOP has dedicated January 14th as a day to go up to CD 1 in the area the campaign needs us most to knock on doors. I suggest we also choose other days to go up there. This is a major event and will affect all of us. Just think the momentum winning CD 1 will create for the rest of the state.
